Meet Our Team
John Burton, an Episcopal priest, is the Vicar of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Windham, CT. He is a spiritual director, certified labyrinth facilitator and woodworker. The father of two grown sons, he lives with his wife, dog, sheep and a rabbit in a home he has renovated.
Barbara and her husband, Ron, worship at Trinity on the Green in New Haven, CT, where she is on the vestry. She is a proud layperson in the church who is retired from managing hospital outpatient services. Barbara devotes her time to travel and consulting to parishes in the Episcopal Church in Connecticut as well as in the Northeast. Nonprofit strategic planning as well as conflict management and behavioral covenants are specialties of hers.
Jonathan H. Folts
Jonathan is an Episcopal priest who is serving as the Rector of St. John’s Church in Essex, CT. He received his doctoral degree from Virginia Theological Seminary with his thesis focusing on the workings of the missional church. He enjoys looking, listening, and writing about how God speaks to us outside of the confines of church! He and his wife have three teenagers and far too many pets - and, in his spare time, he serves the community as a firefighter/medic/chaplain, as a trustee for the Shoreline Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry, and BBQ’s every chance he gets.
The Rev. Charlotte LaForest is the Assistant Rector at St. John's Episcopal Church in Essex, CT. She has a passion for helping modern Christians consider how they might integrate prayer into the busyness of everyday life. She blogs about her experience as a priest and a mom of a toddler at gatherupthecrumbs. Her husband, Eric is the director of the Norton Family Center for the Common Good at the Loomis Chaffee School.
David F. Sellery
Parish Consultant, Author, Resource Creator and Appreciative Inquiry Coach. Committed to a vocation that focuses on encountering God in the midst of everyday life, David serves as an Episcopal priest who seeks to proclaim the good news of God in Christ in worship, pastoral care, education, stewardship, congregational development and community outreach, while continually engaging our wider culture with dynamism and hope.
The Rev. Greg Welin is Priest-In-Charge at St. Paul's in Woodbury. He is married to the Rev. Amy Welin who is also a priest in the Episcopal Church in Connecticut. Greg is a life-long Episcopalian and an acolyte as long as he can remember. Greg is a consultant with churches in transition. When not in church, he sometimes plays the trumpet, and often plays with his granddaughter. Greg is also an introvert and contemplative prayer is a welcome rest.
Amy D. Welin is a wife, mother, and priest in ECCT, serving Christ as the Interim Rector of St. Paul's in Fairfield. She has experience in large and small churches in Connecticut, and has developed competency in celebrating church services in Spanish. She learned to drive in NJ, and has cultivated the practice of praying before she drives anywhere in the car.
