A Prayer Like Any Other

by Barbara Casey

These last few weeks for our family and friends have been tough. Major and minor illnesses and worries

about those who live faraway. I have a pretty long prayer list these days for those we affectionately call

‘The Tribe’ in our house.

This morning as I reflected and worried about these folks, I listened to a song by one of my favorite

Americana artists, Kevin Welch. It’s called “A Prayer Like Any Other (For Nikke). It reminds me that

prayers take many forms. I will now have it in my head all day, keeping them close as I go about my

work.
